Context

A program promoting cereal banks and access to market for organizations of producers has been implemented in Ethiopia.
The document is an evaluation tool used to measure cereal banks global capacities (financial management, staff administration, etc.).

Contribution

This document lists criteria and indicators that must be addressed by the Farmers Market Organizations (FMOs) to increase their level of autonomy.
It provides relevant elements to operate a diagnosis of the CB capacities and to measure permanently the reinforcement of these structures.

The diagnosis is organized around 4 objectives :
- Social and economic interests
- Trade interest
- Financial interest
- Institutional and organizational interest
One or more criteria can be used to evaluate (on a scale from 1 to 4) the level of organization for each objective.
